Having fireworks shoot off automatically - Idea

    Ahoy,

    Fireworks are a great addition to the game and it's fun to watch and to listen to.

    To be able to watch your fireworks you first have to set them off manually, which can make it "tiring" if you want to set off +50 fireworks in a row, for example.
    Now I had the idea to give an option that you can let the fireworks shoot automatically, so you don't have to fire the fireworks every time, this way you can also watch the fireworks from a further distance, like on an island or from a higher point if you want to.

    To have your fireworks shoot off automatically, you need to connect your firework crate to your cannon. Once you have connected your firework crate to your cannon, the firework crate will be placed next to the cannon and the cannon will automatically shoot out the fireworks from the firework crate and will slowly empty the crate.

    Do you guys think this will be a nice addition to the fireworks or do you have other thoughts on this idea?

    It isn't a really bad idea, however I don't really see how it would work that well. If you were on a 2 man sloop and one of you wanted to attack while the other hooked that up, then the other person would have to try to get the fireworks out and also take the firework crate off. Not really sure if I'm makin' a lot of sense here, but maybe you know what I'm saying?

    Actually the first thing I tried with fireworks was loading the cannons on a galleon and trying to light them with my torch. Which would allow you to at least light four very rapidly. I was surprised that was not a thing.

    Yes, I understand what you mean.

    I agree with you that it can indeed be annoying if you are in a fight and your teammate attaches a fireworks crate to the cannon you wanted to use for the fight, but on the other hand, it's also not really smart of your teammate to attach a fireworks crate to a cannon when you get or are in a fight.

    For this problem I have two solution to prevent it:

    • Just don't attach a fireworks crate to your cannon when you get or are in a fight.
    • If a fireworks crate is attached to the cannon, then the cannon will automatically shoot out the fireworks from the crate, except if the cannon is being used by a player or if the crate is empty or taken away.

    @jtye-b Those arent bad ideas, i don't have problems with them lol xd
