New cursed fish concept

  • Add cursed fish to the Hunters Call.

Gold Curse fish, use gold relics as bait. Leave the relic in the water and you can fish these cursed fish from the area around the relic. You’ll need to be careful and make sure the relic doesn’t sink.

Ashen Curse fish, same as the gold curse but with ashen relics in the devils roar.

Skeleton Fish, use skulls as bait.

Coral fish, use coral loot as bait.

English fish, use tea as bait.

  • I can confirm from personal experience that "English" is, in fact, a curse.

Anyway, I feel iffy about this because simply putting these objects in the water to generate the fishing conditions isn't really ideal for creating interesting gameplay IMO.

It'd make more sense if these relics would be consumed as bait by catching cursed fish, you'd hold the rod out in front of them to attach it, then throw it out like normal. This way, the cursed fish would essentially act as a way to "convert" regular trinkets and etc into Hunter's Call loot, which is a concept I can get behind and I think would add newfound value to the game, such as converting Foul Bounty Skulls into something that'll make a lot more money with only some labor.

From that point, my only complaint is that the related Commendations would need to be much more lenient, as giving up hundreds of relics of each category would be a bit much to ask.

    Glad you liked the joke.

As for the rest I thought about using the actual relics as bait but figured people wouldn't like giving up loot for fish. Maybe we could expand the concept and the differet colors of each cursed fish could be caught with a different loot item. Like a foul skull gets you a certain color and a stronghold gets you a different more valuable color.

  • What about the Fish of the Damned? Use ghost loot or fish in the Sea of the Damned or at the Fort of the Damned to catch.
