Attack of squeleton ships during athena's fortune quest

  • Hey everyone.
I almost always play solo on this game, mostly because I can play with my friend only on weekends. I was asking, recently I got the chance to make late game quests : treasure of Athena and since then, squeleton crues assault me very often. Today, I f*****g galleon appears at my left size during the quest, between two islands.

So. Is it bad luck or what ? I find this really punitive as I play alone, I can't really drive and use cannons correctly (Also, I know I'm not a really good player, I just want to have find finding treasors and mysteries ...)

Precision : I want to know if the attack is linked to the quest, like : I search for athena so I got skeleton trying to take me. If that is the case, I will just stop taking thoses quest alone. I'm not (only ^^) sharing my salt.

    just avoid them

it's random not linked to a quest

there is a fleet event which are skelly ships under a ship cloud and there are pre-spawned ships and there are ships that spawn on you

fleets and pre-spawned ships are easily avoidable and as a sloop it's like 98% chance a sloop spawns on you not a galleon

pre-spawned ships are triggered by proximity so just avoid their area. If they are cutting you off go a different way or stop to avoid collision or getting too close

don't sail under a giant ship cloud in the sky

  • Most of the time, your techniques works, here it did not.
It is on my case really new : the galleon spawn on me and attack me. Most of the time : 1. it is not a galleon, 2. it doesnt no attack me if I don't attack it first.

That's why I suspect a specific rule about athena's fortune. But you're telling me there is nothing, so ... basiquely bad luck, 2 times in a row.

  • Ya must of sailed close to the skelly ships cloud event. It blends into regular clouds pretty well. I've been surprised by them too then I look up and yup I sailed right into without knowing.
