So they’ve added the dark adventurer sets to try and create a gold sink to try and give people with crazy amounts of gold to spend their cash on, but for dabloons there is nothing. And nothing has been added in a while.
I know the devs said they view dabloons as a finite source, so I was thinking make it something special To spend them on:

I don't really want them to just be another currency to dump into stuff in the same way as gold
I'd rather a custom cosmetics and tattoo parlor be opened
with doubloons you could change things around to better fit your character and preferences. You could take things like the gold curse and tattoos and eventually add piercings and for doubloons you can have things altered.
Gold curses could have their patterns changed. Tattoos could have their placements changed.
Rather than "dump 20k doubloons on this item" have it a revolving door of some form of customization
and then bring custom scopes to some degree into the game for EoR and doubloons would be used at the weapon shop to have scopes altered, custom crosshairs,etc
We have a currency that needs a home and we have a lot of people that want to some form of unique appearance and customization. I think something interesting could be worked out on this
@captain-coel but they’ve already recycled some, and with cosmetics earned from events we’ve seen they bring them back locked behind commendations and massive amounts of gold.
They can’t continually make infinite amounts of cosmetics. I normally get all the twitch drops, but I know a lot of newer players would like to get a chance at some of the older twitch drops.
No one would be forced to spend their dabloons on anything, just give them options because right now there has been nothing new for a long time.
@mainman666 the most recent repeat was the rising morning star stuff and people were unhappy with that. And yes they can keep making new items for drops. That way they appeal to old and new players. If you let us purchase old drops with doubloons, there are some of us that would still not be able to spend a single doubloon.
If they add something to spend doubloons on, it needs to appeal to all players.

Oooh kinda spicy offer you got there, but many people will not be happy. People weren't happy with DA prices though sooo who knows, maybe they'll do something cool.
Does doubloons even need a sink, I don’t think so, I think they are perfectly fine.
You don’t get much doubloons unless you really focusing on bilge rat commendations, reapers chest etc but even then you don’t get insane amount of them unless cough cough stacking FOTD and cough most likely being in a server alliance.
Twitch drop and obsidian item should not be sold because the doubloons deserve better than that, they should be spend ORIGINAL cosmetics or prehap even better on GOOLDSSSS to buy that expensive Dark adventurer set or something else like that crab crawler
@butterfinger750 i think they need a sink. some of us have tens of thousands and nothing to spend it on. And it's not from server alliances, its just from playing too damn much 🙄
