Not my cup of tea, personally. I hated when they made Arena, and I very strongly would prefere that they not make any more split off Modes for the game. In fact, I'd like to see them buck up and accept that Arena was actually a failed idea and retire it completely. It would mean having to shift some stuff around and make some more problems they will have to solve (which will no doubt make some angry), but that is the direction I would personally take. It existing (even as a failed Mode) give weight to people asking to further split up this game which in turn over time impacts the actual feel of the core focus - Adventure.

That said, I don't see it as technically impossible, I even personally think a PvE server could be made in the same vein as Arena (single Faction, split off currency only for that Mode, only a single Crew per session so it is basically Co-Op that will never let you get all the things the game offers without also engaging with Adventure). It would continue a path away from the original core ethos of the game with "not splitting the player pool" by doing it, but they technically already took that first step anyways with Arena.

I just hope they don't ever do it because it already failed once (with arguably the larger demographic in the PvP crowd not being able to support a Mode to the point of making it truly viable), and it makes the game less of what I originally signed up to want to play as a core premise (and what was marketed to me that got me to buy in to begin with). But, being a Game as a Service means this could still end up being the case and I'd have to live with it or move on.

So, in closing, based on what has been done with the game so far your suggestion is not technically unreasonable but I hope it never comes to pass.

Arena is fun for quick 15 minute action. But to each their own.

An RP server would be fun but the game isn't set up for that kind of play. You would just have to RP yourself and hope others do as well. If it were set up then it'd be looking like a normal RPG with PvE, PvP, RP servers and the like which isn't the intent of the game as it is supposed to encompass all of these simultaneous.

There could be a way to have just regular servers and RP servers but no way to really enforce this. Perhaps player reporting with evidence but ya just seems futile as much as I wish it weren't.

Would be really cool. I would wait for them to release custom servers to the public and then get one and run it yourself. Maybe institute things like no hud. It would almost 100% have to be community run.
