I've grinded a lot for leveling up in this game but I don't want to grind for gold. To rech 9 million in gold you would have to do almost 100 voyages and that's for one item. So if you would either up the amount of gold you get for an item so it takes less time to reach the amount needed for the items or lower the price for the items themselves. Thank you

I wouldn't do voyages at all.

Grind events and skelly ships. Do reapers if you're comfortable with it for max profit or use a specific emissary for a faction that makes sense for the event. Ashen lords and fleet do order of souls.

Efficiency with your time can make you the gold significantly faster

Get some practice on being fast with events then start doing reapers. If you get in and out quickly your chances of getting sunk by pirates are less.

Take advantage of gold rush hours which are 2 hours a day where there is a 1.5x multiplier on top of 2.5x for a grade 5 emissary and work that into your turn in times if possible.

I haven't tested it but if you get more gold for doubloons during the gold rush or double gold weekend (this used to be a thing) then you can cash in doubloons for gold at certain times for a better rate which can also help you get there. Doubloons are rarely used anymore (I dunno if they have anything coming down the line that will use them) but as of now it's an option if you want another way to get some gold

All of that sounds good in theory but in game events are hard to do when you're solo. So even if I do complete it I'm most likely going to be sunk by other players so all the time I put into it is wasted. And I just spent how much time so someone else gets the gold. All I'm asking is but the price to a manageable level so the only thing I'm grinding for is the merchant levels.

It's how I made my gold. To this day I've never had a crew that I didn't have to carry and although I appreciate their effort it's still a lot of work as the Captain. Most of my time has been solo.

Ashen lord solo can take as little as about 7 minutes solo with practice on a good day. That's good pay for so little time.

Fleets can be done solo 2 ways. The way that would fit your experience level is to spawn them then go to the edge of the territory where they no long chase you and let them sink on the rocks. They will sink eventually. You can do this for all waves. Fleets also have a decent chance of being half or almost done when you show up depending on the server.

Avoid forts solo. You can do flameheart solo but it can be a pain depending on your skill level and just random happenings

taking out prespawned skellies is easy enough especially sloops

If you wanna do voyages as a solo I'd recommend only doing vaults. Pretty quick and you can get in and get out with the good stuff. Don't worry about low end loot when solo it's not worth the time and risk as a solo.

I've very well rounded but I'm not really great at anything other than staying calm when it's needed so my crew(if I have one) doesn't get too upset. Anyone can do it. I was absolutely awful at everything in this game when I started. I had zero natural gifts other than perseverance so literally anyone can do it solo if I can. It takes time and it takes effort but all you have to do is identify your strengths and grind the heck out of that style.

It's ok to prefer voyages you can still make the gold just get real efficient with it. Vaults are your best overall bet as a solo and then just snatch up gems and skelly ship loot along the way. Max out the emissary and you'll make some decent gold. You can do the shipwrecks solo pretty easily and they pay pretty well .

I've been playing less because these servers are really getting pretty bad as far as bugs and ping stuff which doesn't allow me to keep up with how I prefer to play but at some point I can help you out if you want some help.

Things are unlikely to get cheaper

Jumping around eating and shooting a blunder and occasionally sword lunging easy to kill skellies is something pretty much anyone can do. It's not a long event anymore it's easily the best use of a grinder's time at this point

The higher gold items are the result of a loud crowd that wants expensive stuff. It's gonna be around awhile you might as well adapt to it. You'll pay it off before they make anything cheaper.
