Friends are at FOTD right now and we can’t put the skull on the skeleton. Why isn’t working? Am I missing something

When? Is that new?
Sometimes you show up and the lights are already lit either by players or a server merge so if you did it before and you didn't put in the lights you just lucked out. It's not a new requirement

It's been that way since it was added. You might have just lucked out and had the lanterns pre-lit.
