Need to really have a talk about Athena Thieves Haven voyage and rep

    I feel like I can give an opinion about how Athena rep is handled with getting to Athena 20 and griding it all out and give my two sense how my experience went. It was a brutal grind. Couple things I think that need to change. I don’t know how many times I dug up a treasure chest and open it and see a trio of Devils loot. Why is Devils loot even in this voyage? Also way too many gems (which you can’t even hand in for Athena rep) and not enough Athena loot. I think some changes should be made with this. How’s everyone else feel about their Athena voyage experience? Should changes be made?

    Edit: also would like to add that there has been 3 times I have finished my Grade 5 Athena and after doing those 3 Grade 5 missions it never gave me another quest for an Athena’s chest to dig. Not sure if that’s a bug or intended. If not a bug and intended This seriously needs to be fixed and it’s should 100% award you a Athena chest in my opinion.

    @demon5379 I feel the same way. I don't even bother leveling up Athena's Fortune, because of how long and annoying the voyages are, compared to how little rep and gold you actually get from it. Even during 2x gold and rep, I just couldn't be bothered to do it. Thieves Haven runs have been regarded as the fastest way to level up Athena's Fortune, but you can't even turn in half of the stuff you get to the Mysterious Stranger. It needs a rework or new type of voyage, ASAP.

    I mean, that's alot of voyages, sure. But I think Athena rep is fine. It's supposed to be a challenge. If everyone had all the unlocks they lose all meaning. Granted, I'm not really the voyaging type. I think the game has its magic in the unpredictability of each session

    @demon5379 do you know how long it would take I’m at Athena 12 right now and 1/5 so how many do u think it would take to get to 20.

    Doing the strategy of 2 Athena runs of thieves havan to get to emmisary 5 flag then sell all,lower and raise the emmisary, than that’s it,my guess is 3 weeks and 2 days what do u think. I’m doing 2 Athena runs Per day and emmisary quest for 3hours.

    Did you know you get Athena Emmisary levels for doing PvE and bonus bottle voyages?

    There's no need to do so many Thieve's Haven runs. Just put up the emmisary flag, complete the bonus voyages that you have, and then do the Athena voyage(s) at level 5.

    The current grind to Athena 20 is fine in my opinion. For example me and my friend did two Thieves Haven Runs and One Emissary Voyage and that took me from level 9 to 11. This took about 3 hours with us being occasionally attacked and with one of us stopping for breaks every once and awhile. In addition, the time we took and our methods were not nearly as efficient as they could have been. While I'm aware every run is different and you need more rep for each level I still believe that the current grind is fine. In conclusion, don't ask for something to be made easier just because you can't or don't want to do it.

    Try leveling 10 levels with only chests of legends and you'll feel great about how things are currently

    Haven runs you have a chance to randomly did up legend chests and kegs on top of all the new athena items and emissary system

    This is like people saying tall tales are too hard or too grindy after checkpoints

    as far as you not getting the emissary quest you need to claim it from the mysterious stranger and you only get 1 quest per level 5 flag so the flag will need to be reset

    if you ever can't claim the quest with a fresh level 5 flag it's because you have a tall tale active which you need to cancel in order to claim the quest at the stranger

    Have you not heard of Fort of the Damned?

    You have to beat if 50 times for an achievement ...I know I may have doubled the amount I played. Yes it a rarity for me now .. it gives an Athena chest...and I had fun because it was pve and pvp all rolled up into one.

    I'm pretty sure Thieves Haven Runs are the most efficient way to gain Athena rep, so relative to the alternatives it's a good mission and really that's all that matters, at least from a grinders perspective. I would of course welcome some new alternatives, so hopefully we won't have to wait too long for that.🤞
