Black Dog Set - also forever locked now? °_°

Please, don't make the black dog set (at least the clothes) come back, at least as a in-game purchase. More black stuff? Totally, but putting a pre-order exclusive cosmetic in the game just would make me kms (not really but ya' know)

They really mustn't ever put a Pre-Order exclusive back into the rotation. So, the Black Dog clothes should never become available again (although, I have seen codes passed around).

I am all for more black clothing options.

That said, haha, the whole "tucc" outfit is such a joke. Any experienced crew is going to find you, no matter what you are wearing. And most inexperienced crews won't see you, regardless of what you ARE wearing (I've seen the most garish, bright outfits succeed... as well as the LARGEST pirates I've ever seen in the game, successfully hide on others).

I get it. The dark colour can help to blend in. But it's such a tiny advantage. I can't express how silly all these pirates running around in their dark pajama uniform look all the time. We laugh at them regularly.

It's better to be original. And be confident in your own cunning, then rely on the small percentage of an increase the dark clothing may provide you.

That being said - sure, more dark clothing would be nice. More clothing options in general would be nice.

But, no... never the Black Dog set again. That's for those who put up their money before the game was launched. Before anyone knew for sure what the game was going to turn out to be.

I have the complete onyx/obsidian/black dog set except for two pieces: The capstan and the blunderbuss. Both are exceedingly rare. I'd love to get a crack at those again someday, somehow...

I know this is why I suggest the pirate emporium or whatever its called in english.
Cause it would need to cost around the same - otherwise it would be too unfair.

One of the Twitchstreamer I sometimes follow, "Hitboc" (?) the cursed Captain is using it and I cannot help but to feel his pirate looks really cool when doing emotes.
And at the same time it is practical for a tucc.

I also go original most of the time, since I just cannot be bothered to
"dress for success" just to find no opportunity to tucc anyway.
But the itch is always there.
To go full Nazgul or something and then appear like the Edgelord above Edgelords. ^^

Haha, I usually call it the 'Tuccedo'. To be fair, tucking just isn't my cup of tea, but I do understand how some enjoy the thrill of it. I get more excitement out of action, rather than hiding and waiting. :D

Oh, also, the Black Dog stuff has those gems on it and may not really be the best for hiding - if the gems happen to catch any light. :D

As far as them being made available again -I just believe some things should remain exclusive. However, I am ALL FOR new options, especially ones of similar styles and such. Since the clothing set is named Black Dog, I'd be completely down for an Obsidian Clothing Set - that is black with green gems - just with completely different styles. A different kind of jacket, hat, boots, and gloves, and so on. And hey, even a shirt would be nice. :D

Certain cosmetics inform you something about the pirates you encounter wearing/using them. You know, roughly, when they may have been around. And I really like that aspect of the game.
Plus, I just don't think pre-order bonuses (for any game) are something that should be available any other way - no matter the price tag they could put on them.

Also, any other type of exclusive that was acquired outside of the game (such as the Ferryman cosmetics from the controller, the midnight blunderbuss, and all the other options out there) I think could absolutely be placed into the Emporium for a good price. Despite owning the Ferryman set (via getting the controller), I would have no complaints about them making it available through the emporium at some point. I just think pre-order exclusives are a different beast.

Of course, these are all just MY opinions. ;)

@odyssee-mit-tee First off, you can just buy a code for the black dog pack for some reasonable amount of money. So if you REALLY want to have it so badly, nothing shall stop you to spend extra money here like others who preordered the game did.
There are still plenty of offers available, unlike for the ferryman pack for which only very few offers at a starting price of like 300 $ (the cheapest offer I've found so far, average is 400 - 500 $) exist.

Normally I'm completely in for bringing back time-limited items or other exclusive stuff back into the game that people like me didn't get because of not owning the game yet. Like the wailing barnacle or mercenary set where you can just purchase parts of the skin set already from Duke and at that point the mercenary blunder and EoR (time-limited) for example really aren't that special anymore at that point.

That being said, I'm against bringing pack the black dog and obsidian pack (I don't own it as well).
Why? Because it's easily the best looking skin in the game and if we all just get access to it again, most people probably wouldn't use any other skin set anymore which makes this set kinda, you know, generic.
Also because of tUcKiNG. I cringe really hard already when seeing streamer crews who're all running around in black sets all the time because they don't make anything other in this game than tUcKiNG. And now the people who need to copy that.
If that's why you're here and really want your character to look dark for some little tactical advantage, you don't even need that black dog pack.

Also, as someone who wears a lot of black clothing in real life, I don't favor the black outifts in this game because of the shader system. When standing in shadows or otherwise dark areas (stormy weather etc.), the black skin packs make you look pretty much as if your pirate mannequin is missing texture files.
Not that these outfits have much depth anyways, or let's just say that things in real life are just better pronounced and distinguished from their environment than in a cartoon graphics game.
So I'm not looking forward to meet an increased number of black alien creature kids that absorb all light unless they're exposed to direct sunbeams.

@odyssee-mit-tee that was the pre-order bonus. I would feel fooled if they will give it to anyone.
