Since the latest update the pirate chat has been changed, and in my experience it isn't an improvement.
Before you could press down the pirate chat button when you were holding anything like your bucket, a loot item or the sails to give a command for assistance. For example you're having lots of water in your ship and u need help bailing water it makes me hold down 2 buttons at the same time in order to ask help.
In these hectic situations u need help fast and not a labyrinth of keystrokes to throw a command out.
It is even worse if you want to move forward while holding an item and u want to tell your crew what you're holding. I changed the keybind of pirate chat back to G as it was originally. So if I want to keep walking and throw a command out I am pressing down: W + G + C just to say ''Help me bail water'', while tapping Shift to keep running.
It would be easier to put the strategy commands on C, as your basically not using it as often then the other commands. Such as ''need help aiming the middle sail'' ''Help me repair'' ''help me bail'' etc are mostally used in hectic situation you need to throw it out fast which you cant no more.
I literally practiced to throw these commands out but I found out my hand is in a knot to do so.
