Crew matchmaking

    Hi there,

    With the last updates many solo players are in disadvantage and we need to learn more and be open to this changes which is ok, I also tried to find an open crew for sloop or brigantine and I would like to know if there is any criteria on matching people.

    I tried a lot of times open crew option and I always find some player first day doing nothing and being counterproductive loosing good loot, not doing anything, playing on the boat, afk, useless on fights.

    Today for example twice against another sloop and was literally a 2v1, I could win the first fight but lost the second, can you please set on some criteria so match some people of your level, or reputation on specific emissary for example?
    Can't keep playing 1v2 1v3 and 1v4, that's pointless and also when you go on open crews most of them are afk or do not care of anything.
    A criteria to match people would be nice to keep going with the wind..

    @allevart I never use open crew. Its notoriously bad.

    If you are on xbox there is a feature where you can create a post kinda like an advert and when people show interest you can have them all added to your party and join the game. You can set criteria and even chat to them before you send an invite.

    Its a much better and more reliable way to find a crew. More often than not you can just browse the posts and apply to join as there is usually a lot of action there.

    An in house solution would be great but theres this to help you for the 'right now'.

    About your post, random parties are always a risk, it doesn't matter the game. I played WoW for long years and at a point, there was a tool similar as you describe, it surely helped but it doesn't avoid you from matching with players you won't like for any other reason.
