Did they give away free gold and doubloons to everyone?

    Man, havent posted here in a looooong time...

    Logged in last night and was immediatly given about 30k in gold and over 300 doubloons. So were my co sailors.
    Is this something they did to everyone as part of the anniversary celebration? i have not seen it mentioned anywhere.... just curious
