Tattoos are a bit much...

    ...or is it just me?

    I bought the vendor sets a good while back , tried them all on and eventually settled on the games one I think it's called...all the tavern gambling stuff.

    ...but even then. This entire time it keeps firmly poking me in the back of the head "why are you wearing this thing!?".

    I just want a few of the components of it. It's like you can either be covered head to toe or have nothing. I know some of the original sets are more tame in regards to amount of ink but most don't interest me or seem unfocused in what tattoos they put together.

    While for the most part I'm clothed so you can't see majority of it I do swap outfits often enough for new parts to become visible off and on. This entire sleeve of tattoos isn't really my style but there are a few select components of the set that fit me perfectly.

    In this case I just feel like less is more. Taking all the newer vendor sets into consideration and they really could have broken them into many smaller separate sets that I feel would have been more appealing.

    @john-hatter yeh i think if it was more like u can pick and place the tattoos you wanted would of been a better way to go but people and tattoos in games tend to be immature and yet creative if you know what i mean

    I don't mind the themed tattoo sets but I really wish they were body region specific.

    I want my right arm to have the "Games" set sleeve and my left to have the "Sailor's" set sleeve. Also, was really hoping I could get a pig tat on my belly.

    Or a chicken tattoo... Anyway yeah I agree body specific tattoo's like saints row would be perfect that way we have more customisation options. Also the ability to change their colour but this isn't a big deal just a nice extra

    Lots of possibility if we had access to them individually and not lumped together. I love the art style of their tattoos just wish I could use my own selection.

    @john-hatter Oh yeah i agree, i really wish that we get a (real) "tattoo shop" wher you can choose where the tattoo is gonna be, what tattoo etc... cause right now the turning camera + the premade tatto are... average i'd say.

    Prior to the ability to select our own tattoos, I had noticed that 3 out of the 5 pirates I regularly played with all had exactly the same tattoo set, which seemed like a statistical unlikelyhood.

    So while I should have known better, I was still hoping that when the update dropped we would be able to do some more unique customization, at least the form of specific tattoos on specific body parts. I thought it would have been really cool if my crew all had one matching tat somewhere.

    Personally I think it's unlikely they will change the current tattoo system but who knows what the future may bring.

    Somehow I overlooked that point. With going the route of large tattoo sets it does play into the impossibility that everyone would have their body covered in the exact same designs and placement. "Who did your ink brah? Phil over at the surf shack!? No way he did mine! Yours too? No waaaay! And yours? Radical..."

    Even if they just assigned the images to body locations and then had a tattoo shop with a tattoo board to function like the cosmetic/vanity chests and you could just equip images to areas.

    Sadly I agree...it is unlikely they will change the current tattoo system. Despite my nitpicking of it the current model matches that of the other cosmetics so why would they? One can dream...
