The game is perfect as it is.

  • PVP is as essential to this game as your ship. If you don't want to PVP, go try Subnautica. The "Chests of Sorrow" on these boards are a vocal minority and do not represent the vast majority that love this game exactly the way it is.

No one is forcing you to play this game.

Giving people the option to "skip out" on the fear of turning in chests, or removing the fear of masts on the horizon removes a great fear from this game: The fear of people taking your chests.

  • I couldn't agree more. Its about never knowing what will happen and you have to prepare and learn how to deal with it.

  • I totally agree with you on the PvP aspect of the game. It's so perfectly pirat.

However, I think we are currently facing numerous problem with the game. Sword fighting is strange, aim sensitivity is strange, and people are sometimes fighting for literally no reasons (no chests to take or to defend). Also, spawncamping and chainkilling are huge problems.

Also, I think encountering another crew shouldn't always end up with all cannon firing at each other ship. When there is no chests, there is no reason to fight, and we should just stick together to find another galleon and attack him with two ships to take his chests.

Alliances between poor pirats should be less rare overall.

  • Perfectly said. Im very bad at traditional fps games ( im old s**u) but ive been able to solo own at this game and the most exciting thing about the game is the constant need to run around your ship looking atound, spying around islands and outposts before landing.
There was several times i was being chased by a galley or two and my heart was racing and palms was sweaty as i lured them into rocks and round islands to get them to collide or fight each other. Even let a few get very close then did a 180 turn caught em off gaurd and zipped off.
So much fun so far. I think there will be even more content to come but so far this is fun.

Whilst I agree with you the problems your outlining are not with the game but rather the people (or more to the point, the human race).

  • @spykus True. But I think we can greatly improve the pvp experience and solve the problem related to the human nature of players with ingame modifications or interactions.

I think we should wait for the full release to see if they have been able to address these issues, and stop complaining for now tho. They are already busy fixing bugs, I don't think they'll have so much time to respond to unproductive cries.

  • @misterdoomed I'm 32, old AF.
