The Kraken Got Lazy

    I heard that the kraken was no longer tied to world events, which I think is a good thing. However, that seems to have made it lazy. Since the beginning of Season 17, I have not actually seen one, and I play a lot since my back injury. I think the spawn rate of krakens needs to be increased, unless there is something I am missing that increases their spawn chance on certain ships. If there is, please let me know, I do eventually want to get Legendary Kraken Hunter.

    I've seen a few over the last few weeks, it might have been a good change to make it more common.

    Need further information or confirmation.
    If that is true. Horrible thing to do.

    I hope there is kraken overhaul in the future. Like “The Dark Deep” update where they fix or change underwater threats that are actually threats again.

    In S16 I would get krakened pretty consistently about once a week. In s17 I have not seen a single kraken yet. They definitely messed something up the other way of last time they tried to unlink them from world events.

    @burnbacon it was announced awhile back kraken can and does spawn during world events.
