Special Ornament: Note of Songful Spirits

  • So earlier I was listing to We Shall Sail Together on my playlist and it made me think why can't we get have the lyrics of songs in game when we play a shanty with an instrument? Sure we can just sing it, but some people can't sing and they want it to sound like how it does in the official songs. So, I thought of a special ornament, that looks like this: 🎵 but it's black and rugged, that when you play a shanty that has lyrics in it, it summons spirits that sing the lyrics and play along with you with different instrument.

I feel like this could really liven up the Seas and it would just be cool.

  • overall it's an interesting idea imo

  • It would be very cool but I reckon it would potentially cheapen the scene you get when you unlock the ghost curse. That scene was extremely well done and I regret watching it on Youtube as opposed to earning it for myself.

However, consider this...what if after you unlock said ghost curse, you could prompt the other ghosts in the Athena hideout to sing along when you play the shanty?

  • @devtryak because the crew are supposed to sing along, hence why it’s a shanty. Doesn’t matter if they can actually sing or not.

Yeah I spoiled it for myself too, and a friend showed me getting it. You do make a very valid point about it cheapening it.

I appreciate you acknowledging that. Thank you.

  • @tesiccl We're pirates, not opera singers. Some of the shanties have bad notes because our pirates are likely self-taught, and don't know proper technique.

  • @b4njax

No problem. I'm getting better at acknowledging things like that
