Idea for extra/excessive map quests/parchment

    Hey all. Been playing since BETA but this is my 1st post here. Love the game. It IS life!

    But I have a large scale ideal for the issue of the map quest wheel and it deals with how many maps/quest are now easily found in bottles or barrels. Love that there is so many but if you are running an Athenas or any larger scale quests, there is too many maps!

    So a way to eliminate them would be grand but is there a possibility for us to either put them back in the barrel (or rowboat) or have empty bottles to fill them with for other pirates to find? The latter idea would require more but would be a fun twist to add the enduring lovable way to help other people such as leaving unused cursed cannonballs in a barrel or rowboat for someone else to find.

    So what says you?

    This is actually a very common post, I’ve seen this idea many times. It sounds like a good idea to me!

    The biggest problem with messages in the bottle is that nobody wants them. they appear constantly and give nothing interesting or valuable.

    The bold part of the quote is blatantly wrong - there is plenty of value there; I often get a supply crate worth 2k in gold or a map with 6 chests on it to dig up. Easily worth the value...

    @galactic-geek ok, I did not discuss it with you ... but something that you find at every step has nothing exciting, as it should be to find a bottle message.
    They should appear much lessa nd offer better rewards... or better yet, unique chests that encourage you to look for them.

    @quietrobot I agree with you on those points. Sadly, they don't count as voyages for certain commendations either, so they really are just bonus quests for gold...

    I say awesome idea. Though go back to the introduction of the Arena with De Marco. Look by his hip a brown looking bag. See it? that's a new looking item ideal for you guessed it, our maps.
    I believe they are working on a build to introduce a better way to look at our map wheel. Imo the map parcel will contain all our missions whether they be bottle or voyage.
