They should just remove the rainbow flag. It creates too much unrest in the community. Before anyone asks, no I dont support the lgbt community. Not going into political discussion, so I will go ahead and make that known. But adding political stand points such as that into the game will only create tension and rifts in the community.
The Flag Issue
No one is forcing you to keep playing. If you cant enjoy a game because of a small, optional item, your time might be better spent asking yourself why it bugs you so much.
Three threads in one hour mentioning the topic and all of them created by you. I believe you're a part of a very small, vocal minority.

For real, its a flag, with a rainbow, i dont see the big deal. I fly it and im not gay i just like lucky charms alot. Rainbows have been around since the beginning of earth. In game description refers to a pot of gold at the end. One dev video mentioned it as a pride flag n people lose their minds. Its an optional accessory. U can even opt to sink only rainbow flag boats. I wouldnt cuz im one of those boats n we havent sank in over a month 😂 although many have tried. But this guy has posted 3 times about the same thing and its getting old fast. And theres plenty of overly homophobic people who are hiding their true feelings. I know this cuz one of my good friends (now happily out of the closet and living with a pretty cool guy) was a huge anti-lgbt guy until he came to terms with the fact he finds guys attractive

Simple answer. This is Rare's product. They fully support the LBGTQ community. You say you do not. That is irrelevant, in regards to what Rare does or doesn't do.
You don't like that? You are free to leave. I'm not saying anyone needs to leave, but if you think you're going to change the minds of the people that made this decision, you are very wrong.
They saw the reactions. And they proudly wore their rainbow t shirts at E3. They've not hidden their intention.

The confederate flag was used by the southern united states during the civil war in an attempt to keep slavery legal, the northern united states used the current flag in an attempt to end slavery, after the civil war and the north won slavery was ebolished and the confederate flag was no longer used. Many tie the flag to slavery supporters and racists in the USA, however alot of white southeners say its a Southern Pride flag and that the way it was used back then is irrelevant.

The Confederate Flag was flown by the Confederacy during the Civil War in America. Today, its connotation is the support of Slavery. Whether that was its intentional meaning or not is irrelevant. The confederate flag was one of the flags used in the American civil war, by the losing side.
One of the things being warred over, was the right to continue owning slaves vs the federal government mandating the end of slavery.
Somewhere around the 1950s, while racism was still a major factor, people began using the confederate flag as a symbol of "southern pride". It was a tactical maneuver by some politicians and influential racists, at that time.
However, it worked to sell a ton of confederate flags, and plenty of innocent people were raised in the southern areas of the Unite States to see the flag as only a symbol of the south, the area they grew up in, and the land their ancestors have lived in, died in, and fought for.
It is still also used by openly racist groups.
It's an extremely unfortunate affair.
In my opinion, the right thing to do is drop that flag. Some people have innocent connections to it, but its history is steeped in extreme racism. To me, it is an utterly tiny concession to give, towards reparation of egregious wrongs.Others refuse the notion that it represents anything wrong.
It's another one of the many ugly divisions within the USA today.@xxx1ra1xxx I dont know how familar you are with American politics, but stories like this are often in the news here. Some of the strongest opposition to other groups' relationships have been found to engage in them secretly themselves. I see it as a statement of fact coming from a psychological look at the issue.
Obviously, most nonsupporters don't support it for whatever reasons, but some want to and are too ashamed and confused to know how to deal with it. Personally, I don't see how one equal human being should have rights that another isn't entitled to. I'm sure the group complaining about the rights of LGBT people would be up in arms if their rights were taken away.

My original statement was meant to mean "Rare is a British company, so why would they even care to add the Confederate Flag?" And likewise, the LGBT community was everywhere, including their home, which supports a much greater audience of people. This includes people that they know personally. This is this guys 3 thread in the past 2 hours or so. The first 2 were called “Confederate Flag” and “Confederate Flag v2” this one only doesnt have “Confederate Flag v3” because hes trying to sneak it in cuz the other 2 got locked 🔒

No worries at all. It was nice to see someone ask that question, from a point of innocence and fairness.
For the record, this thread was started by the same guy that made those other posts about the confederate flag.And, yeah, absolutely - not being a part of a group is no reason to outright refuse a flag that represents it. Sadly, some see the rainbow flag as an attack on their beliefs (because they believe that people of certain sexuality are wrong/bad).
Since many societies and laws still uphold the bigotry against such people, some (including Rare and myself) feel strongly about showing those oppressed support - such as this flag, as a declaration of safety, welcome, and equality for the LBGTQ community.It sucks that we're talking about all this, but I am glad Rare did what they did. It's worth it, when I think of people having to feel shy, afraid, uncomfortable, uncertain, and constantly mistreated by other people and the government itself. That's just a shame.

I will also like for this threads to stop, but after we know what is going to happen, if nobody says anything this will be forgotten, and there’s still many people like me who want the rainbow flag to be removed, so I know it’s annoying for many people to be seeing this kinds of posts, but its also annoying for us to get ignored without knowing and getting told the truth about if this flag is staying or not

The jolly roger is in the game, i would also like more variations of the jolley roger tho. There were tons used by pirates, black beard had 2 pretty cool flags, one with 3 skulls and multiple bones in an asterisk type arrangement and one with a skeleton holding a spear to a heart, id fly em!
