FYI Devs: (New) Achievements Still Aren't Working Properly

    (1) Achievements being delayed

    We had to temporarily disable achievements being awarded to allow our services to cope with the scale of the messages flowing through them. Achievements have been turned back on as of Thursday March 29th. New achievements will be awarded normally, and we are currently working on a fix to award historically earned achievements.

    Last night after a friendly sloop helped save us from an everspawning galleon, I got our two crews together in the tavern for a bit of revelry. I should have gotten all my getting drunk and socialising achievements but I only got one. (I also got the blunderbuss achievement).

    I got:

    • I'll Drink To That
    • Ignoring The Rules Of Engagement

    I should also have gotten (at least):

    • What Shall We Do with a Drunken Sailor?
    • Legends - "The Skullduggers"

    @icymidnight All I can guess at this point is to wait until they announce that achievements are working and distributed.

    having the same thing with the Laden with treasure achievement, have a gameclip to show I had 20 chests on my boat but no achievement.

    @icymidnight Are you sure you haven't already unlocked them? If so, they might be in the achievement unlocking queue that will be processed in the coming days?

    @ionei-falcon I did wonder about that, but I figured (1) a nicely worded report to the devs probably doesn't hurt ;), (2) there's a good chance that new achievements override the old ones - I'm pretty sure I unlocked the blunderbuss one before last night, and (3) I'm pretty sure I've never before met the requirements for the Skullduggers achievement.

    @icymidnight Yeah, definitely worth reporting :) Maybe someone else will post their experience. As fas as I know, doing the achievement task again will not unlock it if you already did. The game knows you did it, it just hasn't award it yet so it isn't looking to unlock again.
