It makes the game unplayable from any perspective.
Case in point: We were at Snake Island doing some skulls. 4 skulls dropped. We had 1 death amongst four people over the course of that. We killed half a dozen sharks at the shore within about 2 minutes, and yet....we had at least 11 deaths trying to get those 4 skulls to the boat, which wasn't parked that far away from shore. People would enter the water and be eaten within a few seconds. No way to prevent it, because by our count there were 9 sharks swimming around. We ended up on a legends quest, and the same problem presented itself at every stop unless there was a dock. For the islands with long sandbars that required the boat to be further away, it was easier to just leave the loot behind.
For a fifteen second swim to the boat to stash loot.
I can't even imagine the horror this c**p brings to PvP. That's not building lore. That's being f***g moronic and not testing your damn patches before you put them into production. You can't hide behind making the game nothing but one giant annoyance for your entire player base by claiming it's "lore building".
I gave this game a 2nd chance after a bad previous encounter with some of the s********s that make up the base of the community, but now I see it all for what it is - a shoddily developed, poorly coded, improperly tested festival of throwing c**p against the wall and waiting to see if it's any good or not. They've made the game unplayable, and putting a sentence in some blog that 99% of the gaming community isn't even aware exists doesn't wash that away.
