    they can but it takes forever, you are better off with a blunder or pistol, or even better a cannon, or best yet barrel them

    Yes they do but only by a slight amount. You can kill a metal skeleton with the saber. It will take you a while though.

    They do only do a tiny bit of damage so not a very efficient way to kill them but it can be handy at times to have someone hitting them with a sabre just to stop them from eating bananas or shooting you as it interrupts them.
    The animation is amusing too, the toons put their hands over their ears each time they hit the skelly!

    @fantome-of-blue If you can lure them into water, or throw a bucket of water over them they do become weaker.

    You can. Don't even start till you have thrown enough water on them to make the little spark or whatever those are come off them. Then they are ready to be sabered.
