@babyfacebeard Not a bad idea in general, even if it wouldn't match the style perfectly. But you need to keep the back free as you carry yout loot this way every time you use a ladder.
Maybe some messenger bags carried sideways could be an alternative?@power-hansen For the illusion that all the stuff you carry is actually somewhere on you.

I think pouches or a cross body bag would fit in more with the theme of the game, plus it would resolve the problem that if you have a backpack, how could you carry a chest or barrel on your back.
Perhaps we'll see something like this as accessories, along with the belts and other items such as scarves, jewellery, scars, tattoos et al.
@sirliborius yes! A satchel would be nice, the backpack itself was a CONCEPT, so anything on the back would be nice.
