PLS we need more than 2 weapon slots...!!!!!!

  • i played the scale test and i noticed that you can only have 2 active weapons at the time.OK so this was not a pleasant experience. first things first i think you should have 4 or 3 slots in total the reasson is that in the full game you will have to kill a lot of skellies (fort battles)..having to do that with only 1 firegun (if you have the sword witch is crucial) will be so hard. you either go to the island with your 5 shots kill some and return back your boat or just risk your life by playing with the cutlass. that will be exremely frustrating to deal with, especially when you face skellies withblunderbasses and who knows what else they are going to add. So either give each gun more shots or give us more slots to use. i understand that the devs want us to make our weapon choices according to the situation witch is not so great having to go back and forth to your ship to change them.In conclusion i thing that giving us more slots will improve the gamplay a lot.It will have us focused on the game and the threats and not on changing guns all of the time.. thank you for your time also my english are c**p iam Greek :)

  • I have a sword...
    I have a gun...
    Ummm~

    Gun and sword my man
    Lol 😂 😂

  • @haristain I prefer only 2 guns to encourage swordplay

  • 2 is perfect! It prevents bullet spam in a game that shouldn't have it! #UseMoreSword

  • @haristain I mean most games with weapon slots have 3 as a standard. So I think 3 would be fine. Honestly I am not too bent over the 2 slots now, if I had a character inventory it would make life a bit easier to manage though, vs having to go back to a gun-rack. So I think there's at last 2 possible options to make this system more manageable.

  • @dark-shadow9056 ok i see your point but only 1 firearm is so furstratig to play with maybe 3 is the perfect number

  • I'm fine having 2 weapons with me, 3 maybe but 4 sounds like a little bit too much.

  • @ethnine yeah thats a good solution but how are they going to make it?

  • 2 Weaponslots (firearms) and the sword as an obligatory weapon would be nice in my opinion.

  • @dennis-box i agree they should that

  • I'm ok with 2, but I think 3 would be my preference.
Sword, Pistol, Eye Of Reach would be my go-to.

It would be nice if some islands/shipwrecks/pirate camps had some ammo chests on occasion. Could make it hold a limited supply like barrels/boxes of cannonballs and such.
Long fights with skeletons with just a sword gets a bit tiring sometimes. Especially if 3+ pop up with guns at once.

  • @hrknen thats my point and imagine forts dude it will be a pain in the a*s to deal with....having to kill skellies and potantial enemy players

  • Having just two weapons forces players into coop situations. The bounty voyages I experienced would be very difficult solo.

  • @barnabas-seadog yeah but the game is not only co op some folks like to go solo you cant just ruin there expirience

  • @haristain I think 2 weapon slots if fine... if we were able to use shovel as a melee weapon. Would be nice.

  • @dark-shadow9056 This

  • @barnabas-seadog I whole heartedly agree. The simplicity of this game is what makes it fun! 2 weapons really makes you plan your voyages onto islands by making you put your thinking cap on and considering the risk in weapon selection! If everyone ran around with a sniper, blunder, pistol, and sword; where would the encounter variety be? Rare knows what they're doing and I think the community needs to stop trying to insist on how they should design their game. Instead, the community should help by notifying Rare on bugs, glitches, and broken game mechanics. If you don't like what Rare is doing, then don't play this game. Or don't take on forts solo.

  • @haristain

I kinda liked the 2 weapon slot. It brings out the swordfights.

But on the other side... we cant do simular to what Blackbeard did.

He had 6 pistols on his chest. If to ever implement that ingame id make it a spesific vest you had to buy and once a gun is fired, its automatically thrown away and to reload you have to do it on a chest in your ship or store and it takes time.

And lets say the accuracy isnt too great either. Dont make it OP is what im saying. I believe this is doable.

  • 3 definitely needed.

Sword, pistol, and your choice of third.

Otherwise, why even leave the ship with the eye of reach at any point. Aiming is slow, not a reasonable close range weapon (and honestly, everyone and their grandma fires themselves into the sea to board your ship).

It's basically just going to make sword/blunder the go to combo for 90% of the time.

  • @haristain 2 is way better. gives diversity to the crew and skellies are harder to kill.

  • The sword should atleast be a default weapon and then 2 slots

  • @haristain I totally agree with your statement

  • @haristain as you can see in the main menu 4-man galleon is recommended option. Solo is just hardest.

  • Or just be able to reload while on land. Otherwise youre basically just admitting you like to gun/bullet spam and are good at it, better than most.
Just reload on land solves both problems.

  • Personally I think the Cutlass should be mandatory and then having the 2 weapons on top would be ideal. IMHO

  • If they are sticking with only two slots then the ability to carry ammo should be added, as 5 bullets are not much to fight off a group with or possibly crates on island where you can restock ammo, like from the barrels this is doable as I’ve seen them on the skeleton fort islands, just make these crates more readily available

  • @ikari-pabz dude i just said my opinion iam not trying to develop the game and of course iam not going on forts solo but even with a full crew 20 shots total for potential hord of enemies is just not enough

  • @danger-rocks good point

  • I'd go for the same as a Pirate be always prepared Yar!
I never leave my sword (or my scoundrel slaying mighty butter knife) behind!
But a pirate must use his wits, for sure having some unexpected concealed weapons is not far fetch for sea plunders like us!

  • @haristain Ahoy!

The forts now have ammo boxes on them so having one weapon will be enough as long a*s you tactically plan where all the ammo boxes are.

  • @ironuzuka yaaar me matey

  • @musicmee that solves some problems

  • @manofsteeldrago I found myself well dead facing the deads with two pistols and no way of hitting them since I left my mighty bone cutter on the ship! Wise is your parlay!
