[Q]: What was your introduction to the world of games?

[A]: When I was younger I used to go over to a neighbour’s house to play his Xbox with him. Those childhood memories of playing Halo 2 and The Simpsons: Hit & Run were my first introduction to games and I fell in love. Still remember doing chores to save for my first Nintendo DS to play Pokémon!

[Q]: How did you become part of the Sea of Thieves community?

[A]: It wasn’t until I started creating content that I became part of the community as such, as I’d been playing Sea of Thieves for a while prior to that but had never really done much other than just play. On the 20th of March this year I did a cinematic video celebrating Sea of Thieves’ first anniversary, and it was probably this video that first introduced me to the community and how great and creative everyone is!

[Q]: How did creating content become your ‘thing’?

[A]: I’d actually been playing Sea of Thieves for almost a full year before I began creating content at all. I remember thinking to myself that content creation would be a great way to find a more creative way of playing, which it was! A couple of my early videos started getting popular and I’ve been hooked ever since!

[Q]: How do you decide what kind of content to create?

[A]: I try my best to do things that nobody else does, as I enjoy doing these kind of things and my audience enjoys watching them. I believe it’s important to think outside the box, to do things that nobody else would ever imagine doing! If I see an opportunity to make a video that will help people I’ll always try to do that too.

[Q]: What are some of the challenges you’ve faced while creating content?

[A]: Personally I have struggled the most with balancing and juggling real-life things and content creation. Trying to keep up with uploads when I’ve had a big week at work, for example, can be really tough. But I always get there in the end!

[Q]: What different channels do you have?

[A]: Currently I don’t have any channels other than my main channel on YouTube, but I have HUGE plans for the launch of my Twitch channel. I also run a Sea of Thieves Discord Server with over 350 active members!

[Q]: What’s been your most memorable Sea of Thieves moment so far?

[A]: Hmm, that’s honestly a tough question as there have been so many! Taking a five-ship Alliance and defeating the Gold Hoarder? The triple Alliance sink at the Fort of the Damned recently? My first ever loot stack where we collected every item in the game? Like I said, I struggle to have a ‘most memorable’ moment just because we do so many crazy things in Sea of Thieves!

[Q]: What do you enjoy most about the game now, and what are you looking forward to in future?

[A]: I am in love with the Fort of the Damned update at the moment as it incorporates PVP and PVE into a small area for constant exciting action! For the future, I’m very excited to see where the lore side of Sea of Thieves goes. The story so far has been fantastic and I’m forever craving more! When will Flameheart return? Will the Grand Maritime Union try and invade the Sea of Thieves? Will a giant Ruby Splashtail swallow their fleet? Only time will tell!

[Q]: What’s something you’re particularly proud of accomplishing in gaming?

[A]: Honestly, forming such a great community and audience through Sea of Thieves would have to be what I’m most proud of in the sense of gaming achievements. I’ve never had such a connection with a game and its community as I do with Sea of Thieves!

[Q]: How did you come up with your channel name?

[A]: My last name is actually Wight and my childish brain thought “hmm, Knight rhymes with Wight”… not my proudest thoughts!

[Q]: What advice would you give to a new content creator?

[A]: I believe it’s really important to enjoy what you do and what you create, but in saying that, in order to grow your audience and viewership, try to find a happy medium between what you enjoy doing and what other people would enjoy watching. Think to yourself “would I, as a viewer, want to watch this?”. Another great tip that I’ve tried to keep up with is quality over quantity!

[Q]: What’s one thing you would advise a content creator not to do?

[A]: Sometimes it can be hard, but try your best not to focus on the numbers as it can lead to the downfall of a lot of creators. It can take weeks, months or in many cases years to establish your own community and audience but if you keep grinding and working hard, your day will come!

[Q]: Could you give us one more random fact about yourself?

[A]: My second passion other than gaming is actually growing plants as I worked as a horticulturist for two years, grew my own plants and took them to market. But these days gaming definitely takes the lead as my main passion!
