I'm beginning to encounter a growing number of players hacking Sea of Thieves, whether it be something as simple as a ESP Hack to full on aimbotting. Is anything being done to stop this? Because right now the attitude of these people is just that they'll make an alternate account...
Is anything being done to curve hacking in this game?

To answer your question (which other ppl appear to ignore): You can always report users if you suspect them of hacking. As in every other game, you can't prevent hacks from making it into your game. RARE surely has some sort of software to register suspicious behaviour, but there is no guarantee that it detects everything (and even if it does, hackers will find a way to cut around that).
All of these posts have 1 thing in common. Lots of accusations but no details or any kind of proof.
If you suspect hacking this is what you do, you record it, submit a ticket and move on. Probably wasn't even hacks. Could have just been a really good player.
I got accused a few months ago for hacking and the person messaged me telling me that he and his 7k followers were going to report me for wall hacks. So I trolled him for 3 days. Kept messaging him every 6 hours, "Hey I'm not banned yet, are you sure you put in your report correctly? Should check again, my name is spelled Xultanis Dragon."
"Hey I'm logging onto Sea of Thieves just fine. I think some of the 7k followers of yours probably forgot to report me. Please make sure they fill everything out correctly. Who knows maybe I used my leet haxorz skillz and hacked their reports so they might have to do it again."
I did this for three days and then sent him a 20 second link of the encounter he accused me of hacking in. It clearly shows him swimming up to our boat. I'm on the starboard side plank and I hit him with the sniper clipping his leg before he gets under our boat. Jump into the water and shoot him again.
Even back when I played Counter strike professionally I got called a hacker by a server admin. I killed him a lot and he kept accusing me of hacking so he spectates a match. This was hilarious too because it was me and 1 other guy left in the match in office. I had headphones on and could CLEARLY HEAR this guy running down the hall way. I was tracking the sound with my D-eagle and headshot him as he came around the corner.
The admin claimed I was wall hacking, that he saw it by spectating me. That there was absolutely no way I could know where the other guy was. Every other single person on the server was defending me saying that anyone with headphones could hear the guy coming a mile away. He got salty and embarrassed and banned me from the server.
Sorry man. With how wonky lag is and hit registration. Its more than likely not hacks.
I wouldn't criticize if you said you ran INTO a possible hacker and needed help figuring it out, but when you claim there is a rise in hacking it implies you run into it a lot and theres just no way of that. Unless you are horribly unlucky and the 0.1% of hackers are on your servers.

As you clearly play on PC this is something you are all very accustomed too. Cheating everywhere!
This does not happen on Xbox console only games. Only PC I'm afraid.
Xbox live since Xbox one has been around has not seen any of this..
But bring in PC players into our servers and hey presto, it's back!
Worse, as you say yourself. There is no stopping them, they will keep finding ways around this.

@galactic-geek We've played for the same amount of time, but your experience with encountering fewer hackers doesn't make my increasing experiences less of an issue. They're occurring, I'm encountering more of them, and on one occasion I encountered someone I had screens of their EPS hack while playing against me a full month after I reported them. Getting annoying at this stage.
@xultanis-dragon I literally provided two posts that blatantly show hacking and you say I don't provide proof. Here's a screen of the EPS, if that's not enough, I don't know what is. I don't report unless I have solid, non excusable proof and that's over 20 times at this stage.
So yeah, I guess I am "Horribly Unlucky" -_-

Bro you are the one setting videos to private and you are getting mad at me about you not showing proof?? EDIT Second one is to your twitch and that works, first one is set to private, so how about checking yourself broski.
SIDE NOTE Then you link a screen shot of hacks?? Yay?? There are hacks in every game what does the screen shot help you with?
My issue was with you suggesting that the hacks was a growing problem and implying that you are encountering them often and in increasing volume.
So how about first fixing your video link and secondly read what people are telling you. My issue wasnt that you might have ran into a hacker, my issue was you stating that you are encountering them often.

That's the hackers page that the video was directly uploaded to, they privatised it after someone contacted the international community they are part of. The second one is also not my page, that's taken from a popular streamer, @PhuzzyBond, so how about you get your facts straight first before implying I'm incompetent SMH.
If a screen shot of a clear EPS isn't good enough proof of hacks for you, then you're a lost cause.
