A gamma setting?

    A gamma setting in-game would he a nice addition. As it sits anytime I want to play sea of thieves I have to adjust my TV settings. Is this a possibility?

    Ahoy there!

    I'm sure it's easy enough to add, however I think the reasons they don't have one is because they want dark areas to be dark so you have to use your lantern.

    Personally, I hope they don't add it. Gamma is just a cheap way to cheese "night vision" IMO.

    If it's properly implemented then they should cut off rendering anything below a certain illumination threshold.

    This would prevent cheesing night vision.

    But that would be more work.

    Interestingly there's just been another thread talking about how dark PC is compared to Xbox.

    Have you checked if disabling HDR on your Xbox helps? There are some bad TV's out there that can't handle HDR all too well.

    PC doesn't have this problem because Rare did not implement HDR on PC.

    On my PC at night I can only see if I use the lantern or another light source is close by and I feel like that is exactly how it's supposed to be.
