I just wanted to make a suggestion and see what you guys think. Ive been thinking about new instruments.
piano. I think they should add a piano in the tavern that if you are there with friends or another crew there would also be a piano to play with
fiddle. A fiddle i think would be a great Addon For the instruments what do you think?

I really like that. To go along with it, I really would love it if we could sit in chairs. Like that beautiful Captain's chair in the Captain's Quarters. All the while me landlubbin' crew is swabbing deck.
I'd like to see items / tools / instruments in the world that players can interact with (like a piano in a pub where you interact and sit down to use it) and I'd like to see more equipment items than you can carry so you have to choose your specific loadout allowing crews to complement each other (although it couldn't be too limiting to hinder solo players too much) or perhaps items that work in different ways so you have to choose if you want the big, slow bucket or the small quick bucket (stupid example but you get my drift). Nothing really gamechanging especially when it comes to combat... just Quality of life choices.

I think I've figured out Rare's MO
See they say they have a checklist for items added in each major update. Like a smalltool a large tool an AI threat Etc.
So here's the thing, what did we get during Hungering deep?
We got a Speaking trumpet and a Drum as items
We got Tatoos and scars for ourselves
We got Flags for the boats.
For the Cursed Sails we'll get
Cursed Cannonballs and (speculation mode on)the Fiddle for ourselves (speculation mode off)
Something for our characters (hairstyles maybe?)
The Brigantine ship type for our boat slot
See this is why I think they will add a fiddle during Cursed sails. They already had the drum and used HD to implement it, now we're going to get the fiddle to fill up that one instrument per major patch slot.

Another thing Rare added with the Hungering Deep was Paint able sails.
I'm thinking they'll add customizable cannons with Cursed Sails.

Cheap sails came first, maybe now they'll add cheap hull customization
