Almondbeard, Lazybeards, game freezing oh my!

  • So. Now from just the Almondbeard (which Rare said was fixed) to errors at every turn. I joined a great crew and did some skulllforts and why at do you know?
    We all froze a handful of times at the skull fort in heavy battle with another crew and while firing cannons...FREEZE, KICK!! THIS happened so many times I felt like I was playing Destiny 1. This c**p needs to stop now. HTF are people supposed to play a PVP centered game and have this STILL happening in the heat of battle? What kind of joke is this? What's gonna happen when the Hungering Deep arrives and in the middle of a boss fight, and the whole crew freezes just like my crew did more than one time?
    This is highly unacceptable for a game of this nature. You can't just "reset" and try again. With this model of game, these bugs ARE CRITICAL to whether you lose or win when battling. This is so dissapointing in so many levels I can't describe. Oh RARE, you've addressed the issues huh? Oh, to make them more frequent and frustrating? This SUCKS. Yes, this thread is made to be seen by all. No use making a useless support ticket. I'm p****d now. I try to have fun with my friends and it turns into a sh*t show, not because of other players...but the game itself. RARE, SEE THIS AND FIX THIS GAME ALREADY. This is not fun.

    It is quite sad that the majority of threads are about gameplay problems instead of the new content that's about to drop in s few days.

  • yup same here and for my friends that are on xbox.
    Also i sended tickets to them which they marked as "solved" while they even didn't gave us a patch, 2 days later they came with a patch that should fix it which it only made it worse.
    Friends can not even join, they straight get back to the main menu.
    I told Rare and Microsoft in the ticket that i go back to pirate games which i have done before but i wanted to trust them which (i already knew) i could not at the end.
    It's just another c****y steam early access game like no other to me.
    We paid the full 70 bucks which is way too much for a game that act like this.
    So i going back to my old roots where when a game do stuff like this i can't blame anymone because i pirated it.
    When i pay 70 bucks and "complain" they do the same thing when i didn't pay so it makes no difference.
    It's okay for them to make money, but not in a way like this.
    Freezing, logging out, rubberbanding, friends can not join anymore since today. Just a handfull of things i get annoyed by. I don't care anymore for there money, all i do care is that i can play my fully paid game which i can't do anymore. Think about it peeps. Have an open mind and don't trust the things they say. They don't even say sorry for the things we done, all they do is mark your post as "Solved" why it isn't. That alone tells me enough but there is a bunch more stuff that tells me enough, and count those things together and you got your answer.
    People may disagree with me, thats fine, all i care is a working game for the full price of 70 bucks (which is triple the money of back in the days when games were way better). Tells me enough. Now the kids these days don't know that but i do and there are a lot more people that know this. Unfortunatly for Rare and icrosoft, i am a honest person that don't hold back. They can ban me, whatever, but we also have a youtube channel where we can proof this. So if this will not be fixed soon, i start to make video's of this and acting like everyone should do. Stand up for your things you bought. Simple.

    I think you didn't read my whole post.
    Better we upload this to youtube so others can see what this is all about. That way they feel forced to fix it.
    I know it sounds cruel but there is no other way.
    I told in my last posts that they mark my post as "Solved" while it was not and 2 day's later they say "Hey we fixed it" while it became even worse. Sending tickets is okay but they don't do anything about it or make it worse.
    If we upload our proof to youtube, then they feel bad. Thats all that is needed to get to their heads.
    I will make some video's soon and proof that sending tickets is just not worth it.
    You have to make them look bad in order to move mountains. Not how it should work tho but if there is no other way then so be it.

    It could be a QoL improvement for a game like this one where you earn nothing until you deliver it in an outpost.

  • The game is currently unplayable for some of my friends on Xbox. Usually starts a match fine, then they disconnect and are unable to rejoin in any way. I thought maybe it was just high traffic on the weekend, but it’s been going on for a few days now. Hungering deep will further complicate the bugs. I’m gonna guess a week before it’s smoothed out.

  • I'm going to leave the game alone for the bank holiday weekend and I'll come back when the hungering deep releases. Hopefully some kinks are straightened out by then.

    It used to do the things you are requesting and they were removed, they don't take things out just because. So I asked around and got back that it was due to exploitation.

    I'm sorry but you're just going to have to eat the loss.

    There's always a another voyage to be had.

    So I need to believe something that you don't even experienced by yourself. Again, which kind of explotaition if they remove the combat logging keeping the ship in the server as it must happen to be a feature that solve the problem itself?

    Do you need to defend all the decissions and mistakes of this team?, it would not be the first one.

    In my case Cyanbeard was happening each two hours, no matter what, the "loss" gets tiresome, I've paid €70 for a game that is not working. I am glad it's working for you, it's easy to stay zen that way.

    Seems he don't care. Which is okay, as long as i care what is happening with my money and game experience.
    I'll bet he has the same problems as well.

    we know that. not new to us.
    We all sended a ticket already. And i also told you why i post here and not send a ticket anymore.
    The people here also probably post it in here because of the same reason. I am not the first one that got a ticket marked as solved while it is still an issue. So i don't know what you are trying to say actually.

    I even placed a link so you can read it again and again and again cause it still ain't solved.
    Marked as solved means solved but it's not.
    And that it works for you doesn't mean it work for others.
    Very strange the game worked for 2 months and after the last couple of updates it start to acting weird and you say that it's on our side while i also explaned that i had my provider here to change all the stuff like a new router, new cables, new outlet, CAT 5 LAN cable and all that. No other programs open, etc etc. Why you think people gonna post here? Exactly, because they getting angry which is a human thing to do.
    Now if you have an issue with people here i suggest you to open up a ticket xD

  • @prognoizes I had them refer me to XBOX support and report the ticket as "solved". Like.... Nope.

    From launch day, and it's still not solved.

    Not new to me.
    I know how they work. Most people don't take the blame and put it aside. Look at steam how rude people are and even the moderators there. I thought buying a game through the app would be different but it's all the same.

My sources are good, long standing, long playing members. It is from a time beyond you and I. It is not in the game now, but was previously. So why was it removed? Hmm, makes you think, doesn't it? Furthermore, there is no possible way in all of development the idea never came up, was mentioned, or was though about during the process.

    Moving on to more important things...

    Cyanbeard is not an issue with the game, mate. That's an issue on your network or Xbox Live directly.

    I will stay cool but honestly you don’t deserve it. Not an issue with the game?, get lost, really, this is the only online game in my library that doesn’t work, devs even aknowledged the problem and are trying to find a solution...with not big sucess, btw, as it is happening since beta and stress tests to me.

    That's a hard fact and sounds cruel like i said many times but still it's a fact. If you don't have that problem, good for you, go play the game and leave us alone will ya. You can't solve our problem. Rare can and that's what we aiming for. No matter where, how, what, or whatever. But we at least try everything.

    Yes they did indeed say that they are aware of the issue in the ticked but still marked it as solved while it still occurs.
    He don't understand that. He thinks that what someone is telling, is the truth. But wait till he has these problems. Or he's trolling around because his game is not working, also possible. Or just an attention person that needs some sort of attention. He could say that then it's no problem. But he is clearly not helping people. He says what we already know and we are out of options.

    The devs acknowledged an issue with the infinite loading screen, which they fixed. Allmondbeard which was an issue with the game, was also fixed. Cyanbeard, according to their support article, is not an issue with the game. It is an issue with the network.

    I am only going off the information I have. Let me check their Twitter and Discord.

    I think you're being plenty chill, despite disagreeing with me.

    Some days ago I replied in a thread where a dev aknowledged that they are working in potential fixes for the problem, but now they give it another name, Lobgbeard or something like that, and it’s not an user end issue, otherwise they would not care.

    I found a solution by myself...but well, it was not the best from a safety standpoint.

    I told you when we send a ticket also not worked.
    Also told you were out of options and we post it in a local forum so everyone can see the problem.
    I hope that people will see it and don't buy it until it's solved.
    When people lose money then we got in their heads and they start working on it.
    Don't you get it already? That's all what i mean. So you can stay saying send tickets and whatnot, but we already did so. And keep on sending doesn't help eighter. Only when you shuffle their wallets they will listen. That's what i try to do here. If that also don't help well, at least i tried it. It gives me a bad feeling if i didn't try.

  • @personalc0ffee I completely understand they (Rare) were not ready. I said as much in my first post.

    These things worked fine in the Beta. They just yanked stuff out to try to sell to us later. That's the perception anyway.
