Xbox live invite issues

Now this is something I like to know if its fixable or not. Because mostly when I join a random crew they send me an ivite to the group chat, but I never see it on the Xbox live app. So it really is hard to do group chats in sea of thieves so if anyone knows how to fix this or any ideas that might help be appreciated.
