@jammyd22 would also add that Americans do not need MORE COOKIES TO EAT

Yeah... nah.
If it makes you feel better it's not about bullying other pirates - it's a practical way to protest corporate promotions while the included cosmetics are so anemic. They're welcome to leave the brig/ferry-of-the-damned once they move to a skin that isn't exclusive to a snack-product, that isn't exclusive to a specific country, that is available for all, that is available for in-game currency.

Just so I am straight, you want to punish players that use this stuff...that is how you will protest against Rare? OK, best of luck with that.

How are these cookie boxes "specially marked"? How do I tell they're included in the campaign?
Looking at images of the cookie boxes I'm assuming any Chips Ahoy Cookie Box with the Sea of Thieves promotion labeled on the front is included in the campaign.
I know this promotion is absurd, but what is also ridiculous is how horribly it's been advertised. I got lucky and saw it on reddit after it had trickled down a ways, and also lucky that I saw it here because I never come to 'Tavern Tales.'
Currently I have every exclusive item (besides dev sails, obviously) but I won't be able to keep up with everything if they continue to advertise stuff so horrendously. Same thing happened with Ebon Flintlock on the first go around.

@ler what are chips Ahoy?
A tasty treat!
For those outside of the USA I don't mind helping people out by getting them the codes provided they pay for the cookies and perhaps a little for my time.
Regional exclusives for video games isn't anything new. There have been a number of game that have had special in-game items only available in certain parts of the world. Frustrating? Yes, but it has been around for quite some time, most recently for Forza 7, Destiny 2, etc.

I'm here to help too! I'll be grabbing some extras & do some giveaways for people out of the USA.
For those whinging about it being a contest for the US only, you really need to stop. Almost EVERY contest in America has this restriction. The problem is that contests are one of the most regulated and complicated affairs which gets exponentially more difficult and legally complicated as you broaden the base of acceptance.
A small contest is still complicated and at risk of litigation and criminal issues where as if you start going for a contest that goes to the state or nation level then just gets crazy.
The problem is that before they had such legislation we saw many companies and individuals exploit others for fake contests.
