Auction Island?

  • Hi everyone.
First off, I'd just like to say that I've been looking forward to SOT ever since it was first announced, seen the trailers, played the beta's and now that its out...I love it even more; just a damn enjoyable experience!
Now, to the matter at hand. I'd love it, if in a future update we were able to get an 'Auction Island' or an island that's dedicated to trading.
You're probably thinking 'why do we need a trading island when we trade with the factions?'. Well, this is an island that's trading system is made up of player/player trading.
The island should be located in the centre of the map and once on the island, or wanting to venture further into it you'll have to relinquish all weapons on you to the various hired guards (you'll get them back once you're ready to leave). You can however, choose to fire yourself onto/into the island with weapons in hand but doing so has consequences such as the hired hands coming after you, perhaps even suspensions from the island and trying to go back activates some sort of bounty system?
This island, whilst predominately centred around that of trading could also act as a player hub of sorts. Sure you can meet players on an island or in a tavern but speaking friendly won't necessarily get you a friend, more a bullet actually. This island however, acts as a refuge, a haven if you will where instead of straight up brawling, you can talk to others without fear of breaking out into a skirmish (pirates don't always have to fight).
Within the centre of the island, lies the 'Auction House'. The purpose of this house is to have players, well...Auction off items which other players can bid to buy and so forth - Auction Island could even be run by another faction not similar to the Gold Hoarders and when an item is purchased, they'll take some commission.
It's a pretty out there kind of thing to include but I thought it'd be a pretty decent one at that.
What do you think? Too out there or just right for this type of game?
    Thanks for reading!
