Need help understanding the clues please. It gives you a map, there's an island with an X on it at grid postion C4. I sail there but no island? Search nearby island to the grid location but nothing.
The island looks like a fish on the treasure map so I sail to an island of that shape but nothing.
When in a group I thought more clues appeared on the map once you reached the island?
What am I missing? Cheers

@happyg-v2 Ignore the grid references on the small map they do not correlate with he big map, you need to look for the island based on its shape on the big map... From there you will then be able to find the red X.
Use items like rocks, trees and red plants on the smaller map to work out your position on the island and the location of the treasure (marked with the red X)

Do more clues appear once you reach the right island?
Any word on why grid loaction not accurate?
Thanks@happyg-v2 You will hear a chest clunk on the first dig if you are in the right spot... No more clues will appear once you are on the island... but use the big map (zoom in) and your compass to try work out your bearings.
The grid lines for the smaller map are there I believe so you can tell your crew mates which chest you are about to pick up so you could tell them I am going for the chest in E5... the big map has a bigger grid to accommodate all the islands without having too many coordinates.

As @Musicmee told the small map grid reference does not apply to the big map on your ship. There are 2 kinds of maps:- One with a shape of the island with red X markings where you will have to look for same shaped island on the big map, sail there and try to figure out which is the right spot to dig into. The 1st dig will notify you if you found your treasure - you really cannot miss it :D
- Second one has a riddle likey clue. The first clue always states the name of the island where you will have to sail to. After you have landed on the island with your feet the map will update with a new clue until you will find what you are looking for :)
