I am proposing a new recurring event structure designed to boost player interaction and reward the community for consistent play throughout the week. The core of the idea is a massive weekend payout that the player base earns during the weekdays.
The Main Event: Loot Weekend
Every weekend, a global event triggers that doubles the rewards for all major encounters on the High Seas.
- The Reward: All World Events and PvE encounters drop 2x more loot than normal.
- Included Activities: Skeleton Forts, Fort of Fortune, Skeleton Fleets, Ashen Lords, the Burning Blade, Kraken, Megalodons, and emergent Skeleton Ships.
The Mid-Week Add-on: Community Milestones
To keep the seas active from Monday to Thursday, I am proposing a Booster mechanic driven by the community.
- The Challenge: Throughout the week, the player base works toward a collective goal, such as total skeletons defeated, ships sunk, or treasure cashed in.
- The Bonus: If the community hits this goal before Friday, an additional 1x multiplier is added to the weekend total.
- The Result: Successful mid-week participation upgrades the event from a 2x Loot Weekend to a 3x Loot Weekend.
Why This Should Be Added
- Weekly Retention: It gives players a clear reason to log in during the week to ensure the weekend payout is as high as possible.
- Higher Stakes: More loot on ships means higher risks. A ship carrying 3x the normal haul becomes a massive prize for any crew on the horizon, naturally driving more exciting ship to ship combat and organic PvP.
- Gold Progression: This helps players working toward expensive ship sets or Pirate Legend status while keeping the World Events highly contested and exciting.
Note: This was just a quick idea I haven’t thought through in depth. I just thought people might like it, so I figured I’d post it and see what everyone thinks. As people are wanting more loot from events, why not turn it into an event that gives more loot for players to look forward to?
