Hey Rare and everyone,
I’m a huge fan of Sea of Thieves and honestly, the "A Pirate's Life" Tall Tales were some of the best moments I’ve ever had in the game. Seeing the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman up close was just incredible.
I already bought the Eternal Freedom and Cursed Ferryman sets because I wanted my ship to look like them, but let’s be real—it’s not the same as the actual 3D models from the movies. The shape, the deck, and the whole vibe of the real ships from the Tall Tales are just on another level.
I’m suggesting that Rare finds a way to let us use the actual models as selectable ships. Even if it’s just for "Safer Seas" or as a special reward for Pirate Legends, it would be a dream come true for so many of us.

They were super clear there's not gonna be anything gameplay exclusive (both HS and SS) aside from Captaincy that anyone can unlock very fast, and also stated that Safer Seas will never have any exclusive features (as in that HS doesn't have them as well).
The only acceptable option would be to add them in a manner of Burning Blade.
However, outside of tall tales it doesn't make sense in HS/SS, unless they decide to do a crossover event. Which I seriously doubt, since they're focusing on new content, and A Pirate's Life is pretty old content by now - and kinda finished.
Maybe if SoT still exists when PotC 6 comes out lol, whenever that might be.

Also, your idea about making it like the Burning Blade is actually a great point! Making it a world event would be perfect. Imagine the server fighting to control the Black Pearl or the Dutchman for a session. It keeps the gameplay balance while finally giving us those amazing 3D models. They where also pretty clear that they will listen to the Community Feedback more...
That has gone out of the Window aswell, so i dont see why this cant be changed too!
Also HS has a lot of Features SS does not:
Progression past 25
Burning Blade Event
Organic PvP encounters
100% Gold and Reputation
Emissary rewards... What?

I don't think they are going to make playable models for IP they don't control. There is already a clause in the emporium stuff that says they can yank them at any time and provide compensation instead.
Doubt they'd want to put the work in to integrate something into the regular gameplay loop and then have the license expire and have to remove it. The Tall Tales can be removed completely without impacting anything and were designed that way on purpose for this exact reason.

Custom servers would actually be a perfect middle ground! It keeps the 'balance' of the main game intact while giving fans what they’ve been asking for since the Pirates of the Caribbean update. Even as a limited-time event, it would bring so many people back to the seas. What do you guys think?
