My crew and I are on a galleon, and we see a sloop a bit far from us. My flex decides to take a rowboat to see what he can find out, and what kinds of shananigans he can cause. He boards them, to find they're hot-micing, and are completely new to the game. He explains he's just out here on a rowboat fishing, and decided to row over to them. After talking with them, giving them helpful hints and tips, etc. he then convinced them that if they ring the bell 3 times, a helpful crew on the server, will be dispatched to their location for assistance. I'm hearing him saying this and I'm already dying laughing, putting both hands over my face. We know what's coming and get ready to sail over. Suddenly, this sloop crew sees another galleon that's not us, heading over to them. One of them yells out, "RING THE BELL! RING THE BELL!!!"
We drop sails and start heading over to them. As we pull up, one of us gets on the loudspeaker and says, "Hey, we got a message you guys needed help over here? What's up?" I can't talk, or breathe at that point I'm laughing so hard. "There's a galleon out there headed towards us!" they yell back. We turn out, go over to the galleon, sink them, sailed back to this sloop and asked them to please rate us 5 stars on Rare's website, as it helps us out. They promised they would.
As we sail away, we started imagining these players in another fight somewhere, and instead of firing cannonballs or bilging/repairing, they're frantically ringing their bell for help.
