Ancient Meg Lacking?

The ancient Meg feels a bit lacking for the amount of effort put in, especially for sloops and 2 man brigs.
What if there is a chance to get a new item from either of the megs. For example, a bright glowing and sparking coral staff (maybe 3 times as volatile the Trident of Dark Tides and is able to damage ships) but stuff like this. Or maybe a rare type of cannon ball that does a lot of damage in an area. Make it a bit more lucrative to PvP players, but the cannon ball would be like the treasured fish, it would technically count as treasure and can’t be stored, but can be loaded like the hunting spears.
