Solution to loot value issue

  • I have a vague, not so yet fleshed out idea for a gold sink in Sot, or just another purpose for gold to be worth the pursuit again for people who have no use for it What if the amount of gold you have earned in your session racks up a tally to compete for something against the others in the server. Like something that builds up value, and whoever has the highest value sold on their server gets rewarded somehow, access to something or start an event that is favored for them. That is my vague description of an idea i had in mind. An addition to this, that is a bit more of a reach however, whoever has the highest amount of gold earned in a session gets access to a new piece of loot only they can access, but still have to bring back to an outpost, the rewards for handing it in should be something in addition to just gold, maybe like the same way that COF does it. Either way, my suggestion is to make a way for gold earned matter session based, so all loot becomes lucrative in a session and your total gold doesn't matter, and again, this idea is not fine tuned at all

  • Another specific suggestion to add to it could be that you have to earn X amount of gold to get access to a little area that has the piece of loot that is unique, maybe even a boss fight, and once you have it you're marked on the map
