Ever wanted to wield your two favorite cutlasses at the same time, possibly a dual Cutlass might be something we could have to wield two of our favourite cutlasses at once
My favorite swords to use are the sword of souls and the burning blade cutlass but I also want to wield them both, what if a future season would introduce a dual Cutlass mechanic
Dual Cutlass (two swords wield)
@gamingdragon006 If players can use two guns, and have a pretty quick TTK, then players should also have the ability to use two swords if they want. Obviously there would need to be some balancing, but double gunners shouldn't be the only ones with a quick TTK.
@gamingdragon006 Lessened damage would make sense - perhaps 30-40 damage per swing, with no stun. There's plenty reason to add it - it fits the pirate fantasy perfectly, more so than playing with multiple guns like a glorified call of duty player.
@xenomorphben570 I've been a longtime advocate for dual cutlass. I think it would be an incredible addition to our arsenal, and again would absolutely fit within the pirate fantasy. I would also like dual pistols, as well.
@honestauntyelle I can absolutely get behind this, as well. 4 quick slashes, and a crossed blades block animation would be cool (reminds me of Ganondorf in Windwaker!).
No lunge would make sense as well, as part of a tradeoff of using two swords.
So instead of the 3 slash, 60 damage for the single cutlass, it could be:
4-5 slashes at a rate of 30-40 damage, crossed blades block, and maybe no stunlock - trade off for speedy damage is no stun, lunge.
I like this idea. There would be changes, maybe a slight decrease in range (maybe you use two shorter swords rather than the single large one), a decrease in damage per slice, and an increase in damage speed. I imagine it would have to do away with the freeze that the first sword swipe causes in the game currently, as this would just make it physically impossible to deal with as a double gunner in close quarters.
They could bring changes in fighting styles to other weapons in the game too, like the flintlock. If you could have a dual wield flintlock, though maybe it would be too similar to the double barrel flintlock. It would be interesting though to have a gun that does pretty good damage but you can't ads with it.
Stuff like that would be nice, more weapons that have different trade offs than the traditional changes in range, damage, fire rate.
