Many people complain about the character creator not giving you the pirate they want. I think the character creator is almost perfect. ALMOST. i love how you dont have complete control over your looks, it causes a lot of variety in the pirates you meet, its great.
The Problem:
But what i found annoying from the first moment i saw the selection was following:
unable to change things in the selection screen i was able to change afterwards.
in case you dont know what i mean because i am bad at phrasing, i mean stuff like clothing and hair. clothing can make your character look bigger than they actually are and hair and facial hair contribute to a different overall vibe as well. but since we are able to change them later on however we see fit, i dont see the reason not to add this feature.
The Solution:
let people view their character with a few previews before confirming their choice in the character selection, by example one with only underwear, one with fully loaded cosmetics and clothing and one kind of in between. each with vastly different hair and facial hair. i wouldnt have chosen my character if he hadnt had this disgusting greasy hair. the other fat characters i got were are bald or with short hair but my wonderful potato was the only greasy looking one. wouldve loved how the other meatballs wouldve looked with his oily mane.
TLDR: scars, disgruntled faces, teeth, age, bodytype and all should be random but clothing and similar should be customizable before choosing them.
