It was announced in October that anti-cheat is being looked into to stop cheating at the source. I, surprisingly, 100% support this decision; my concern is that anti-cheat can/will flag Proton/Wine compatibility layers as unauthorized code/software unless explicitly allowed/whitelisted. If this step isn't taken then anyone playing on Linux/Steam Deck will be blocked during the initialization handshake.
I know this is just a random forum post, and that the Linux/Steam Deck community is objectively smaller in size than Windows/Xbox users... but I do hope that the devs do take the time to implement this one whitelist request.
