I lost a map for my buried treasure because I didn't realize that the maps were an item you would lose when scuttling. I had some a random sloop sink me while I was fighting some skellies, and didn't even notice what had happened until long after. I didn't even have anything to take, and I had a level zero emissary status, so I guess it was just done out of spite? They didn't even bother to stop on the island to take anything... but that's beside the point! I looked at what the description for scuttling said before choosing it and didn't see anything about maps specifically, so I didn't think it would be lost but... Yeah.
Something specifying that would be great!
