Yo!
Cameron here. For those of you who haven’t come across me yet, I work as a Community Manager at Rare and over the past year and a half, I’ve been running the Sea of Thieves Forums and making sure your feedback both inside and outside the Technical Alpha is heard loud and clear by the rest of the team. It’s been fun to say the least, and it’s safe to say that we’ve come from nothing back in June 2016, to having a lively forum with a great mix of people joining every week.
Between our work with the Deckhands, the various giveaways, the long discussions and the campaigns we’ve run, it’s been pretty full on since the Forums launched, but it feels like the community here has really established itself and found a sense of identity. In summary:
Now, you’re probably wondering where I’m going with this. There’s more work to do on Sea of Thieves, some of which I’m going to be heavily involved in. You’ll find out just what sooner or later, but that means that I won’t be able to dedicate my time to look after things here! As such, I’ll be handing over responsibility of the Forums, feedback, and the community we’ve created here over to Dee, who some of you will know as @khaleesibot. Dee joined us around a month ago as another member of our growing community team and has done a great job of introducing herself and integrating comfortably into the day-to-day of running the Sea of Thieves Forums. Going forward she’ll be working with our community moderators, the Deckhands, to ensure that the community here continues to thrive. So, please make her Dee feel welcome and help both her and the Deckhands maintain this awesome community that has come together over the past 16 months!
