Is it rare cosmetics titles or is it something else. I have my own legend as we all do but what defines a true legend is what I wonder now
What is a legendary pirate these days?
A true legend is not based in cosmetics or titles, but by the good-will they put forth into the world. That pirate that doesn't sink a noob Tall Tale solo sloop, but instead helps them finish out their first story. That pirate who saves their comrades from the greedy Reapers without asking for anything in return. The pirate that puts their supplies in a crate and leaves it on the dock. Those are the true Legends. Those that make the game a better place for others, who help with Adventures and the Glitterbeard ritual. Those who guide others by their words and actions. True legends, aye.
Every day there are people that go out there and invest in the environment. They don't have the pvp crews to defend, they don't have connections to make it easier, they grind while taking all of the risk and most of the loss. Everyone else feeds off of that effort, that production, that investment. They don't cheese the design, they navigate through it. None of this is possible without them, They are the legends in my mind and my stories.

What holds weight to a year one pirate legend....
At this point having accomplished just about everything personally its anyone who can match a good story or have something interesting to say. Cosmetics arent much anymore but imo its the people who do the pve on a extreme knowledgeable end and can pvp with the best of them.
Its context sensitive in my opinion.
My "legend" moment was achieving the Skeleton Curse before actually attaining 'Pirate Legend' status after starting the game in November; a demonstration of resolve and relative lethality. Makes the 'Legend of Cursed Bone' title actually resonate for me and proud to wear it over some of the other achievements Ive made.
@blam320 when you become pirate legend, you’re a “true legend”. Becoming a captain of your ship, again, only a “true legend” can captain a vessel. Hit 100 in Guardians and get the ghost curse. Only the “true legends” get to become part of the Athena’s Fortune crew. Ramsey is an elitist overlord, no better than Flameheart, at least he’s upfront about it. Change my mind ;)
