I’m confused, is it minutes where you are on fire or where your ship is on fire? Also my ship has been on fire for at least 20 minutes and I get zero minutes added. I tried standing in fire and that didn’t add to my milestone either. Not sure if it has to be caused by PvP or a volcano

@robby0316 The minutes are adding up as you/the ship is on fire. like with pretty much everything theres the personal and the ship milestone. the minutes dont get added until you put the fire out. So for example if your standing in fire until you die then respawning to also get trips to the ferry then your pirate minutes will be added after you die since you are no longer on fire. The entire ship needs to be put out in order for the minutes to be added so if you log off while its on fire i think you lose all that time. but if you scuttle the ship then all your minutes will be added as sinking puts out all the fire. Got class 111 for ship time on fire. Got legendary ill fated for my ship. No achivement. Seems like half these legendary titles don't trigger the actual achievements.

Actually, Negative Nancy, it's been pretty decent. I've been having fun I forgot to have because I wasn't getting doots anymore. It has issues. The whole Video Games as Performance Arts has issues. The new Adventure is paradoxically amazing and horrible at the same time somehow.

@pithyrumble [Mod edit] While it is focusing on the negative aspects of the update you just pretend they dont exist? achievements not unlocking, not being able to play a single day without your SAVED ship cosmetics that you PAID for. They put a gold value on saving the cosmetics as a gold sink but then couldnt even program it right to where your cosmetics actually save. were coming up on 3 weeks and they havent fixed a single bug with the update other than the ship log actually recording some data though half of the log is still just filled with nonsense that isnt related to your ships journey at all. Then theres the entire ignoring players past progression which is just an insult. But hey if denying that the patch is shallow and garbage helps you sleep at night....

Nobody is pretending anything. I am well aware of the existing hiccups and the new. Reddit isn't going to think you're some big hero. You've only complained on every post. Negative Nancy and the fact that you started out with an expletive punctuated your lack of play and involvement.
The update has issues. The game had issues before. It's a glorious hot fire mess and it's amazing despite how much Skull and Bones is paying you.

I signed up just so I could say this was the answer for me. I sat around for like an hour on fire wondering why it wasn't adding up and when I put it out, it added like 53 minutes to my milestone.

I think hell has seen less fire on some months compared to my sloop, but I've only just now unlocked the trinket for it.
If I had to guess, each time your ship is set on fire it will have to be on fire for at least a minute, so you get 1 level per that minute. So most likely you need to have at least 10 instances where your ship would be on fire for over a minute. Probably there is some cooldown between the instances too.
Perhaps the timer increases with every level, no idea. Also I dont have any more space for new trinkets and they suck out all my hard earned gold, can never save enough for the stuff I want to buy
