Last night my crewmate and I were chasing a sloop. One of their players attempted to board three or four times and was killed or shot off the ladder each time. The next time he came he managed to get on board, but he was invisible for me. I didn't think he was on but my crewmate was screaming he was being attacked. Turns out he could see him but I could not. My crewmate plays on PC while I'm on Xbox. I also wasn't experiencing any lag or parts of the game not loading in. I've played this game since launch and never seen anything like this before. Basically I'm struggling to understand why a bug would only effect me, especially when I hadn't died or respawned since the last time we killed that player. I also find it highly suspicious that a bug I've never seen before would strike at the absolute perfect time for them to already be turning to attack us, and after he had failed to get up our ladder multiple times. @wsurftvveeds Very little... People just assume someone/everyone else will have reported it...
So you never really can assess the scale of an issue!
@musicmee My bad, I'm sorry about the video. I had already cut out any parts where you could see the players name when he was still visible for that exact reason. I didn't think I could cause a witch hunt from the part I linked because they player was literally invisible with no username.
@musicmee that's true I guess. I'm just reluctant to share the footage of it happening to other people incase it results in unwarranted bans, like has happened in the past with that old invincibility bug and people joking with it.
Wouldn't even know where to start telling them how to reproduce it as well (like "run around a bit I guess"), so I never saw it doing much good.
@wsurftvveeds Every little incident reported is another piece in the jigsaw... for you, it might have happened emoting but for someone else it might have been just after pressing a key or opening a certain menu...
The support team can then piece all the jigsaw pieces together to try to work out what is causing an issue... as you can imagine it's not always obvious.
@musicmee I just decided to leave it to BRs(blackwytche) to set a good example in that case I suppose :)
