Playing Sea of Thieves, one of the biggest enjoyments to me is the sound design. Hearing distant thunder or the bang of cannons, to simply sailing the ocean is what makes this game so great to me. Although to me something was lacking. Sure you have bells to ring and spam as you come up near an outpost...but it lacked the 'umph' of a grand entrance. A horn!
War horns I feel would be an amazing addition to the game. Use it as a greeting, a declaration, or just for fun among your friends.
As a stretch suggestion - what if different skins for horns made different noises? Have the bilge rat one be rickety and chaotic - while the aristocrat sounds clean and domineering.
