While I fully embrace the pirate life (I'm a day one player...he gloats) I am getting a little tired of being shot or stabbed when I'm in shops, taverns and Athena's Fortune hideout. Surely it's not a game breaker to create a pirate "Parley" area so I can by some new bloody trousers without getting nailed!

He might be talking about the Tavern while in Arena mode - no fighting there :).

He's talking about the arena tavern inside arena game mode. The game doesn't allow you to draw weapons.
@rockace26 I’m just saying, I’ve never went to buy trousers and got attacked as they mentioned. Sounds like a very odd chance to get attacked while you are in the shop.
I often spend a lot of time at an outpost buying/trying out different combinations of cosmetics. I almost never have anyone come to the outpost I spawn at.
If someone kills you. Just leave a go to a new server. You've lost nothing.
There will never be a 'Safe Zone' in the game (outside of the Pirates Life Tall Tale). A safe zone would completely kill the game.
People are people and like to troll other players. This isn't toxic, it's just a game.
