so i don't know if this is the place to ask this but i really didn't want to ask this in that part of the forum for reasons i will state below and this question is more directed to our lovely @deckhands
so heres the thing
going between the steam forums and seaofthieves official forum its crystal clear of what is okay and what isn't depending on the place
either that or the mods are either very inactive or not correctly following rules set up for the community to follow in the steam forums
take example pve threads those are rampant in there not only are they rampant but the people discussing in them are not only rude or disrespectful but outright toxic
now i know "oh he used the word toxic" no im talking about things like personally insulting you and then using that as the subject going forward
in the steam forums the lack of mod interaction and otherwise general enforcement of rules makes it seem like people are literally allowed to act this way
personally insult you
derail the original topic and just troll
question your intelligence and IQ
be condecending and simply toxic
in the steam forums certain words and topics are a big no no and the community themselves start shouting eachother down and cause huge flamewars just so the topic gets shut down
just for a new to be created and the process repeats itself
the reason why i didn't want to ask this in the steam forums is because of the obvious "your trying to silence us you troll" or "translation: hes asking the mods to enforce rules because he disagrees with us" this is the type of mindset that is riddled in the steam forums
but my legitimate question is why are things so neat and tidy in here but absolute chaos in the steam forums
the mods in there either don't care or follow different rules entirely because the lack of mod action is abundantly clear

(edit: if any steam mods are in here im not attacking you but i am asking for a big change in the way you try to grow your community going forward growing it upon flamewars and faction wars between pvp and pve is an extremely toxic way to grow a community
people with legitimate ideas are outspammed by pve threads and anyone asking about the game are instantly shouted down by pver's and pvper's about which side ruins the game the most and then they argue for days even months before the topic is closed)
