It's literally the loot pinahta of this game. Even defeating one solo isn't that impressive. Why do they think making such a video will get them views? I for one usually just skip them.
Why do YouTubers act like killing a Galleon is hard?
However skillful you think you are, take 4 clones of you and throw them on a gally. How would you fair against them as a solo slooper? With their 6 extra cannons, 2 extra masts, extra barrels (and starting supplies). Extra hands to deal with managing their bilge while PvPing you on your ship, to keep you off your holes.
That could be why.
@theblackbellamy Except it isn't like for like. It's 4 randomns with less co-ordination and teamwork than a government.
@wolfmanbush What's there to downplay? Any other target would be harder to take down than a Galleon.

This just feels like someone agitated in the peanut gallery
No 2 situations are the same out there. There are countless moments that have significant consequences depending which way they go. A galleon noob or not is a lot of people it's a lot of swords and guns and a lot of cannons and a lot of ability to distribute manpower. Galleons can take a lot of resources and there are extra people to help them slow down a sink.
You're coming at it from an arrogant perspective. Maybe the viewers see it different than you.
Or maybe everyone is just having fun and the exaggerations don't bother the people involved with the content like they do you

Lol. Every time?
@theblackbellamy Every single video I've watched, yes. Although maybe I missed one where they were good when I gave up on watching them.
Maybe good crews do exist though, but they seem like a rarity.
A galleon is only as dangerous as the crew manning it. Sure, an inexperienced crew can be easy pickings, but with the superior firepower and numbers, a competent crew can be pretty deadly.
Secondly, unless they are making a purely instructional video, YouTube game videos are 50% gameplay and 50% entertainment/YouTuber personality. They're going to play things up and overreact because they're putting on a show. (At least some of them are, anyway)
Now if that doesn't entertain you, that's perfectly understandable. But it doesn't change the fact that most YouTube game videos are just as much about the person playing as it is about the game.

Youtubers aren’t really “gamers”. They are game show hosts with a fake persona of themselves.
So everything they do and say is for views and money. Maybe even get a following to see more
A lot of them play like 12 hours a day lol
pretty sure they are as much gamers as anyone else
@mrat13 Galleons are not the most difficult to sink, they are the most fun. It sucks if you immediately lose the naval battle right out of the gate because if you're on a sloop like most streamers/youtubers are they'll just spawncamp you, but if by chance you manage to get a board then suddenly it's the most fun thing ever. You can run circles around an enemy team on a galleon and wreak all kinds of havoc- even a good galleon crew can easily lose track of you on such a big ship.
