I came up with an idea and I wanted to share it with you. Wouldn't it be nice if you could do something that we can name the ships? in the style of pirates of the caribbean.
Ships Names
At this point, I’m surprised we don’t have a separate mega thread for this suggestion. Actually, I have a suggestion for the moderators: could we get a mega thread for ship names, equipment presets, new weapons, and gold sinks. We see them all the time on the forum, so why not have a dedicated place for them?
@arctroopachedda I dont see anything wrong with talking about topics that have been discussed before, megathreads somewhat hides subjects so i can see why we should have megathreads in controversial topics but for little ideas they are bad.
You see the same subjects coming back with new forum members and they wont bother to check if someone thought about it before because why would do that?
They want to voice an opinion and they want it to be seen, hear other opinions and discuss.
So im really not a big fan of the silent negativity towards these posts, someone is bringing up something and the reply is "yeah many people have said that before"..... So?
Do you think its a good thing or a bad thing how it can be implemented.... ANYTHING, but just pointing out that it has been discussed before is kinda rude.

Sorry for my silent negativity. Anyway, would the names be displayed on the bow of the ship or above the cabin? For the galleon, they already have a nameplate, but where could they put it on the brig or sloop?

Look, I dont disagree with the OP, since putting a name on a boat goes back to the beginning of time, but who gets to name the boat?
Isn't it bad luck to rename a ship?

What good would random names for boats, like alliance names, be?

The Galleon will have the more appealing with the wooden plate above the Captain's quarters and the other ship will have it on the sides.
Either the back sides on the front or back, or even to choose.
I cant wait for that feature, my vessel is called MorningWood@barnabas-seadog The name for players can be toxic same for their pets and what they write in game chat, if its truly toxic or racist you can report them, so i hardly see it as a problem.
And people need to stop to be so sensitive, if its that bad they can always report.As for who puts down the name is very easy, like any other cosmetic you stick with the last one that was added to the ship.
We cant vote on everything, and if some players will argue over a name, finding another crew would do wonders for them.
You write the name down and others can rewrite it.
